BuraqWash LLC ("BuraqWash", "we", "us" or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share and safeguard your personal information when you use our website, mobile web application and on-demand car wash and home cleaning services. This Policy applies to all users — customers, Service Providers and website visitors alike.
1. Introduction
- BuraqWash LLC ("BuraqWash", "we", "us" or "our") operates an on-demand car wash and home cleaning platform (the "Platform") that connects customers with independent service professionals ("Service Providers").
- This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, retain and protect your personal information when you visit our website at buraqwash.com, use our mobile web application, or interact with our services in any way.
- By accessing or using the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.
2. Information We Collect
- Account & Identity Information: Full name, email address, phone number, profile photo, date of birth, and account credentials when you register for a BuraqWash account.
- Booking & Transaction Data: Service type, vehicle information (make, model, colour, licence plate), property details (for home cleaning), booking location address, GPS coordinates, selected date/time, payment method, transaction amounts, receipts, tips and promotional codes applied.
- Payment Information: Credit/debit card details, billing address and payment history. Payment processing is handled by Stripe — we do not store your full card number on our servers.
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect precise GPS location data during active bookings to match you with nearby Service Providers and provide real-time tracking. Background location is only collected while a booking is in progress.
- Device & Technical Data: Device type, model, operating system, browser type and version, IP address, unique device identifiers, push notification tokens, app version, screen resolution and crash logs.
- Communications: Records of messages exchanged through our in-app chat, call logs from our VoIP calling feature, customer support correspondence, and feedback or reviews you submit.
- Usage Data: Pages viewed, features used, booking flow interactions, search queries, referral sources, session duration and click patterns — collected through cookies and similar technologies.
- Service Provider Information: In addition to the above, if you register as a Service Provider, we collect your government-issued ID, Social Security Number (for tax reporting), bank account details for payouts, vehicle/equipment information, background check consent, work availability and performance metrics.
3. How We Use Your Information
- Providing Services: Process and manage bookings, match you with available Service Providers, facilitate real-time tracking, enable in-app chat and VoIP calls, process payments and send receipts.
- Account Management: Create and maintain your account, authenticate your identity, manage your BW Prime membership (if applicable), and process referral rewards.
- Communications: Send booking confirmations, status updates, OTP verification codes, appointment reminders, and service-related notifications via email, SMS or push notification.
- Safety & Security: Verify identities, conduct background checks on Service Providers, detect and prevent fraud, investigate suspicious activity, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the safety of all users.
- Platform Improvement: Analyse aggregated and anonymised usage data to improve our services, optimise the booking flow, develop new features, and conduct internal research.
- Marketing: Send promotional offers, discounts and BW Prime membership information — only if you have opted in. You may unsubscribe at any time via email preferences or by contacting us.
- Legal Compliance: Comply with applicable laws, regulations, legal processes and government requests. Generate tax documentation (1099 forms) for Service Providers as required by the IRS.
4. How We Share Your Information
- With Service Providers: When you place a booking, we share your first name, booking location, service details and vehicle/property information with the assigned Service Provider so they can complete the job. Service Providers can see your chat messages and hear VoIP calls during active bookings.
- With Customers: If you are a Service Provider, customers can see your first name, profile photo, star rating, number of completed jobs, and real-time location during active bookings.
- Third-Party Service Processors: We use the following trusted third parties strictly to operate our Platform:
- — Google Firebase (authentication, database, cloud functions, analytics, push notifications)
- — Google Maps Platform (geocoding, directions, real-time location tracking, distance calculations)
- — Stripe (payment processing, card storage, payouts to Service Providers)
- — Twilio (SMS notifications, OTP verification)
- — Brevo / Resend (transactional and marketing emails)
- — Google Cloud (text-to-speech, AI services, cloud hosting)
- All third-party processors are contractually bound to protect your data and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.
- Legal Obligations: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, subpoena, court order, or government request, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, safety or property of BuraqWash, our users or the public.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, bankruptcy or sale of all or a portion of our assets, your personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. Ever.
5. Data Retention
- Active Accounts: We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide you with our services.
- Booking Records: Booking history, transaction records and associated communications are retained for five (5) years from the date of the booking for accounting, tax reporting, dispute resolution and legal compliance purposes.
- Inactive Accounts: If your account is inactive for twenty-four (24) consecutive months, we may send you a notice and, if no response is received, deactivate your account. Deactivated account data is retained for an additional twelve (12) months before permanent deletion.
- Service Provider Records: Tax-related records (1099 data, payout history) are retained for seven (7) years as required by IRS regulations.
- Deleted Accounts: When you request account deletion, we will permanently remove your personal data within thirty (30) days, except for data we are legally required to retain (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes).
6. Your Privacy Rights
- Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to Know / Access: Request a copy of the specific personal information we have collected about you in the past twelve (12) months, including categories, sources, purposes and third parties with whom we shared it.
- Right to Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete personal information.
- Right to Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information, subject to certain exceptions (e.g., legal retention obligations, pending transactions, fraud prevention).
- Right to Data Portability: Request your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format (JSON or CSV).
- Right to Opt-Out of Sale/Sharing: BuraqWash does not sell your personal information. However, you may still submit an opt-out request, and we will honour it.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not deny you services, charge different prices, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your privacy rights.
- Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information: You may request that we limit the use of sensitive personal information (such as precise geolocation) to only what is necessary to provide our services.
- To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@buraqwash.com with the subject line "Privacy Rights Request". We will verify your identity and respond within forty-five (45) days. You may also designate an authorised agent to make a request on your behalf.
7. California Privacy Rights (CCPA / CPRA)
- If you are a California resident, you have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA):
- Categories of Personal Information Collected: Identifiers, commercial information (booking history), internet/network activity, geolocation data, professional/employment information (Service Providers), inferences drawn from your profile, and sensitive personal information (precise geolocation, SSN for Service Providers).
- Business Purpose for Collection: All personal information is collected for the business purposes described in Section 3 of this Policy.
- Sale or Sharing: BuraqWash does not "sell" or "share" (as defined by the CCPA/CPRA) your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- Right to Know, Delete, Correct and Opt-Out: California residents may exercise these rights as described in Section 6. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights.
- Shine the Light: California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing.
- Do Not Track Signals: Our Platform does not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals. However, you can manage tracking preferences via our cookie banner.

8. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
- We use cookies, local storage, Firebase Analytics and similar technologies to operate our Platform, remember preferences, and analyse usage patterns. For full details on the types of cookies we use, how to manage them and how to opt out, please see our Cookie Policy.
9. Data Security
- We implement industry-standard technical, administrative and physical safeguards to protect your personal information, including:
- — HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data in transit
- — Firebase Security Rules restricting database access to authorised users only
- — Stripe PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance for payment processing
- — Role-based access controls for internal systems
- — Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- — Secure hashing of sensitive credentials
- While we strive to protect your data, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you and the appropriate authorities as required by applicable law.
10. Children's Privacy
- BuraqWash is not directed at, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, anyone under the age of sixteen (16). If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at privacy@buraqwash.com. We will promptly delete such information from our records.
11. International Data
- BuraqWash currently operates exclusively within the United States. Our servers, databases and third-party processors are located in the United States. If you access the Platform from outside the US, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored and processed in the United States, where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
12. Third-Party Links
- Our Platform may contain links to third-party websites, applications or services (e.g., social media pages, payment processors). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third parties. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
13. Service Provider (Worker) Privacy
- If you are a Service Provider on our Platform, the following additional provisions apply:
- Background Checks: By registering as a Service Provider, you consent to identity verification and background checks conducted through our authorised screening partner. Results are used solely for eligibility decisions and are not shared with customers.
- Earnings & Tax Data: We collect and retain your bank account information for payouts and your SSN/EIN for IRS 1099 tax reporting. This information is encrypted and stored securely.
- Performance Data: We collect and display your average rating, completion rate, cancellation rate and total jobs completed. This data is visible to customers to help them make informed booking decisions.
- Location Tracking: During active jobs, your real-time location is shared with the customer for live tracking purposes. Location tracking stops automatically when the job is marked as completed.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (to the address associated with your account) and/or by posting a prominent notice on our Platform at least thirty (30) days before the changes take effect.
- Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date of any revised Privacy Policy constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
