What Are Cookies & Tracking Technologies?

We also use local storage (similar to cookies but stored in your browser's local database), session storage (cleared when you close your browser tab), and Firebase SDK identifiers for authentication and analytics.

Allow us to show you relevant BuraqWash promotions on other platforms and measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns. We only activate these cookies if you explicitly opt in.
Local Storage & Session Storage
In addition to cookies, BuraqWash uses your browser's local storage and session storage for functionality such as: remembering your cookie consent preference, storing your PWA install dismissal count, persisting your theme choice and caching booking draft data so you don't lose progress if you navigate away.
Local storage data persists until you clear your browser data. Session storage is automatically cleared when you close the browser tab.
Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies on our Platform are placed by third-party services that we use. These include Google Analytics (traffic analysis), Firebase (authentication and analytics), Stripe (payment processing fraud detection), and advertising platforms (when you opt in to marketing cookies).

Managing Your Preferences
Cookie Banner: When you first visit BuraqWash, our cookie consent banner lets you choose which categories to accept. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the cookie icon in the footer.
Browser Settings: Most modern browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from using core features like login and booking.
Google Analytics Opt-Out: Install the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on to prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data.
Mobile Devices: On iOS, go to Settings > Privacy > Tracking. On Android, go to Settings > Privacy > Ads to manage your advertising ID and tracking preferences.
Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites requesting them not to track browsing activity. Our Platform does not currently respond to DNT signals due to the absence of a uniform industry standard. However, you can manage tracking through our cookie banner and the opt-out methods described above.
California Residents (CCPA)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected through cookies and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
